“Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel are the double act of the year.” Peter Bradshaw, Guardian Film review.
Join L A Cinema for The Christophers, Steven Soderbergh’s sharp and witty comedy-drama starring Ian McKellen, Michaela Coel, Jessica Gunning and James Corden.
When the estranged children of a once-famous artist hire a talented forger to secretly complete his abandoned paintings, their plan to secure an inheritance takes an unexpected turn. Clever, funny and touching, this art-world tale explores creativity, ageing, ambition and the complicated question of what we leave behind.
With an outstanding cast, razor-sharp dialogue and an intriguing premise, The Christophers is a smart, entertaining story about art, family, ambition and the price of leaving a legacy.
