Adapted from Helen MacDonald’s award winning memoir, the film follows Helen, a grieving woman who finds unexpected solace in training a fierce goshawk named Mabel. As she teaches Mabel to hunt and fly free, Helen discovers how deeply she has neglected her own emotions and life. What begins as an act of endurance transforms into an intimate journey of resilience and healing.
H Is for Hawk is directed by Philippa Lowthorpe (Swallows and Amazons, The Crown, The Third Day and TV series, Willow). This moving story of loss, nature and resilience won the Golden Eye Award at the Zurich Film Festival and received a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding British Film.
